Even though Cebollas was dynamic, my MOTM was Matteo Guendouzi. What an end-to-end performance from the 20-year-old Frenchman. I mean his willingness to win back the ball was breathtaking at times, and his assist to Aubameyang’s game-tying goal was absolutely specatular! This young man deserves to remain in Emery’s starting XI. We need that kind of desire and intensity, and with the addition of Ceballos in the midfield, the game was saved.
Now we have to wait two weeks before our next match against the winless Watford Hornets. Games will come thick and fast after the break. 4 games in 10 days. The depth of our squad will hopefully provide the quality we need to get this season going in the right direction.
