As we come to the halfway point of the Premier League season, let’s take a look at hot or not…
Hot…
Arsenal – Top of the table with 8 point lead – Has Arteta found the Highbury magic?
Manchester United – Has moved up to 4th following 5 straight Premier League wins
Newcastle United – Hasn’t lost a league match since August 31st
Fulham – The surprise of the promoted clubs, and 4-1-1 since December 1st
Brentford – More draws than wins, but playing well
Nottingham Forest – Were in the relegation zone, but have since climbed up to 13th
Brighton and Hove – Have won 3 out of last 4 league matches – Graham Potter who?
Erling Haaland – Who can argue about a man who already has 21 league goals?
Not…
Tottenham Coldspur – Antonio Conte will be gone sooner rather than later, and so will Harry Kane
Manchester City – Pep’s boys are in turmoil, including a 2-0 defeat to Southampton in the Carabao Cup
Everton – Even their board of directors aren’t welcome at Goodison Park – Frank Lampard should be packing
West Ham United – David Moyes has some talented players, but can’t seem to find the right formula to win matches
Chelsea – Thomas Tuchel should still be their manager – Mudryk and Felix won’t save them this season
Liverpool – Jurgen Klopp is bewildered – Has lost two league matches to Brentford and Brighton, and tied a third with Wolves in last 3 league games
Leicester City – Let’s hope Youri Tielemans escapes this mess very soon
Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang – Gone, and totally forgotten
