Good morning my fellow Gooners!
I woke up today feeling optimistic and happy. Nothing can bring me down today, not even Arsenal’s dreadful result vs. Crystal Palace.
I’ll tell you why I’m feeling this way later in the post.
Boy, is north London a mess right now. I just don’t mean the Gunners but also our “friends” a few miles down the road…good old Tottenham Hotspur. Misery loves company, right? Harry Kane and his boys currently stand 11th in the Premier League table with 3 wins, 3 draws, 4 defeats and 12 points. And to think we have it bad.
Ponch and his gang are having a rough go to the start of the season. They played Liverpool yesterday but the football gods just wouldn’t allow the Reds to lose. Sorry lads.
But, enough of that. We have our own issues to deal with.
So here we are Arsenal Nation…
We blew a 2 goal lead.
Emery said Xhaka made a mistake.
Some frustrated Arsenal fans stepped over the line.
A few of Xhaka’s teammates have huddled around the team captain.
Josh Kroenke met with Emery after the game.
Ozil was still in the stands, not on the pitch.
And, to top it off…we play Liverpool at Anfield in just two days. Perfect. 🙁
I’m not sure how you tie all of this together, but at the end of the day gang…we are a mess.
So why did I wake up feeling optimistic and happy today?
Well, we are off to Disney World this afternoon to spend four days with my daughter, her husband and our two grandsons. That should cheer me up! Four days at the happiest place on Earth!
