If you were lucky enough to have watched the Switzerland v France Euro 2020 Round of 16 match today, you saw a tremendous showdown between two teams who left everything on the pitch.
Included in this group is Swiss captain Granit Xhaka. The current Arsenal player, and former captain, was superb. From end-to-end, Xhaka was heavily involved in the game, getting back on defense and then getting forward to spearhead a offense that scored three goals against the defending World Cup champions.
What I saw was a man determined to lay it all on the line to win. He was vocal, he was a leader and he was contributing all over the pitch. This was such a huge match for Switzerland, and Granit’s efforts contribute to their win.
I never saw this kind of determination from Granit Xhaka on the pitch for Arsenal, at least not in the big games for 90+ minutes. I understand playing for your country and all that, but what about playing for your club, and laying it all on the line for your club, especially in the big games.
Today, Xhaka was extraordinary!
Xhaka could very well be leaving the Gunners for Roma in this transfer window. If he does, or even if he doesn’t, I hope the Xhaka I saw today will show-up more often that not.
Cheers.

The fact that Xhaka performs with his national team and struggles with Arsenal speaks alot about the current Arsenal squad, Xhaka recently said that you are as good as your team. Arsenal needs players with character and who are ready to fight to win game.
my captain love you
These are the sort of comments that make you lose your heart and from our fans that always get on the back of our own players at every little mistake they make.
Xhaka has had tremendous performances over the years, if you count the big games (supposed big games) its never down to one player, if that is the point of discussion, then why cant england just smash every other team in Euros since they have a wealth of talent but they cant make it click, similarly portugal were very poor despite having a terrific team. You see football is not a game of 1-2 players, thats why you have managers who instill a playing philosophy,
Our current manager mr. arteta wants positional discipline and recycling of possession as well as safe keeping of the ball, plus our squad currently does not have players who retain the ball too well and bring others into play, Granit xhaka produced some fantastic passing stats going forward and made an assist as well in yesterday’s game against france because he was given the freedom to do so….
If you look at his game at arsenal,, arteta and before him emery wanted him to play with shackles on, and play it safe, plus when you have a forward like aubameyang who is not good at receiving the ball and holding it up, laca is better but not the best in the world, its different.
Arsenal to me are making a mistake by selling granit xhaka, and selling is one thing, selling him for such a meager fee as being reported is ridiculous and insulting, thats the reason xhaka is looking forward to moving away from arsenal.
