What a day in the Premier League on Sunday!
First, the Gunners fought for a very tough 2-1 win over Sheffield United at the emirates today. This was totally a team victory as every Gunner had to play at full speed the entire game to get the win. Sheffield United played a very rigid defense, but in the end, Bukayo Saka and Nicolas Pepe’s goals where enough to earn then the 3 points.
Mikel Arteta told Arsenal.com following the match, “What I liked today was that we adapted to a very different scenario that we faced in the last two games against Liverpool, it was a completely different game. I am happy with the way that we played the game that we had to play. We had the right patience, we created the right moments in the game when a lot of space started to open up in the second half, we scored two great goals and when that happens we need to improve to score the third one and then the game is gone. In the Premier League, the first time they got near our box, they scored a goal and then you have to hang in there and I don’t want to suffer as much because I lost my voice!”
Now, except for those players heading off for international duty, the rest of the club will have two weeks to recharge before resuming the season at Manchester City on October 17th. Today was a great win for the Gunners!
Also, can you believe these two score lines?
Manchester United 1 – Tottenham 6
Aston Villa 7 – Liverpool 2
You gotta love the Premier League.
This could be a VERY interesting season ahead!
Cheers, and stay healthy and safe!

One of my all-time Arsenal players, Olivier Giroud, returns to Emirates Stadium on Tuesday. This time as a player for the competition, Lille. Giroud scored 105 goals in 253 appearances for the Gunners.

Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard on Man City’s punishment. “In terms of how I feel, I potentially could be affected if you like, I wouldn’t want individual players to give stuff back, that wouldn’t be right. But the club, they have to be stripped.”
