First of all, congratulations to the fine folks at the Premier League for pulling off the impossible task of completing the 2019-2020 season!
I must say I was somewhat pessimistic about the entire effort, but I now stand and salute those dedicated and fearless men and women who made it work!
Okay, the Gunners finished 8th in the PL, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameuyang fell just one goal shy of winning back-to-back Golden Boots. I guess that’s not too bad considering the obstacles this club has overcome during the year.
The climax to the season was a barnburner for sure with Arsenal holding on to a 3-2 win. Unfortunately, for our friends at Watford, they have been relegated to next season’s Championship division.
For Arsenal, however, it’s all about the Cup!
Past performances don’t count, nor does winning past trophies. All that counts on Saturday will be scoring more goals than the other guy, Chelsea.
For Arsenal, next season’s Europa League chances depend on winning the FA Cup. There is no other way.
Throughout the coming week, Yankee Gooner will provide daily content to support the Gunners and their biggest game of the season!
A 14-14-10 record in the Premier League can now be put to bed, and all of Arsenal’s focus, all their energy, and all their attention points toward one thing, and that’s kickoff at 12:30 pm ET on Saturday!
COYG!
