Saturday’s match was a rollercoaster ride of emotions.
Here’s my emotions throughout the game, minute by minute…
0′ to 4′ – Excited
5′ to 14′ – Dejected
15′ to 30′ – Relieved
31′ to 60′ – Fearful
61′ to 90+2′ – Apprehensive
90+3′ to End of game – Thrilled
Early on, it looked like the demons plaguing the Gunners in February were going to haunt them again. However, the second half proved to be 45 minutes plus when this group of men stuck together and provided one helluva finish.
I am so proud of this team for their resilience and belief in themselves and their manager. And, a big THANK YOU to Nottingham Forest for their 1-1 draw v Manchester City. The Gunners are again back on top of the Premier League table, with a game in hand over the Sky Blues.
The remainder of this season will be a wild joy ride. It will be like driving 100 mph with the fear of not being able to stop when you hit the brakes.
I’m not sure how many matches like Saturday’s I can handle this season, but at the of the day we must remember, it’s not how you start, it’s how you finish that counts!
Cheers!
