City’s John Stones to Arsenal?

The London football press is convinced Mikel Arteta wants John Stones to join Arsenal. And, why not? The Gunners boss watched the 25-year-old Englishman up close and personal for several years while working as Man City’s assistant manager.,

It would make sense that Stones would relish this move as well. Why? He just isn’t getting a lot of playing time with the Sky Blues (only 9 appearances in 2019-2020), and he fancies an England call-up for the 2020 European Championships. The young defender has earned 39 caps since his first national team call-up in 2014.

At 6′ 2″, Stones is known for his technical ability and physical presence, He has been praised for his calmness with the ball, his defensive skills, his passing range, and overall versatility.

His range of passing has led to comparisons with Rio Ferdinand, Gerard Piqué, Jérôme Boateng, Pep Guardiola and Franz Beckenbauer. That’s very impressive company!

So, with 17 days left in the January transfer window, we will continue to pray for defensive help!
Let’s see if Arteta gets his man.

Cheers. Gunner1953
