Let’s do some quick math, shall we?
Arsenal’s magic number to win the Premier League title is now 16. This means a combination of 16 points, either gained by Arsenal or dropped by Manchester City during the clubs’ run-in to the end of the season, will secure the Gunners a major trophy lift on May 24th.
Just food for thought my fellow Gooners!
Of course, a lot can happen, and probably will to make the remaining Premier League matches in April and May very interesting, and nerve-racking, for City fans and Arsenal fans a like.
This weekend, City travels to Chelsea, while Arsenal hosts Bournemouth. An Arsenal win, and a City loss, would stretch the Gunners lead to 12 points at the top of the league table. A City win and an Arsenal loss would close the gap to 6 points, and remember City has played one less league game than Arsenal. More food for thought.
With all of the that said, let’s focus on Bournemouth and hope for another three points to be added in the win column.
Here’s my predicted starting XI on Saturday…
[4-3-3]
Martinelli, Gyokeres, Saka
Rice, Odegaard, Zubimendi
Calafiori, Gabriel, Saliba, Timber
Raya
Predicted final score: ARSENAL 3 – Bournemouth 0
