In my opinion, the Gunners should not be in the position they are currently in. Meaning, they should not have to depend on winning the final two matches of the season to finish 4th in the Premier League?
Why do I say this? Here’s why.
The Gunners have dropped too many point this season due to poor performances, bad luck or crappy referees.
I count as many as 10 points have been lost that should have been won. Here’s the list…
Brentford (1 point on 8/13), Everton (1 point on 12/6), Manchester City (1 point on 1/1), Burnley (3 points on 1/23), Watford (1 point on 3/6), Crystal Palace (1 point on 4/4), Brighton and Hove (1 point on 4/9) and Southampton (1 point on 4/16).
That’s 10 points, which would have placed the Gunners in 3rd place with 76 points. All of the above mentioned matches, except Man City, were against lower table clubs which makes it even more frustrating.
In my humble opinion, 3rd place is where we should be right now!
I know…woulda, coulda shoulda.
Thoughts!
