Prague proved to be Arteta’s happy place after all, as the Gunners win 4-0!

Arsenal defied the naysayers, including me, to storm into Prague and steal away into the night with a brilliant 4-0 win over Slavia Prague. The Gunners won the tie 5-1 on aggregate.

The Gunners will now face Unai Emery’s Villarreal side in the semifinals beginning on April 29th.

The Arsenal first half was miraculous to say the least, while the second half proved this team has what it takes to put teams away.

Congrats to Bukayo Saka, Nicolas Pepe and Alexandre Lacazette for their goal scoring accomplishments in the match. Laca has now scored 5 goals in his last 6 matches!

It’s been a rough season for the Gunners in all competitions except the Europa League which has provided the squad with a taste of accomplishment. Now, this team just three wins away from lifting a trophy and earning a Champions League spot in next season’s competition. I’m beginning to feel that maybe, just maybe, they can achieve that goal!

On the downside, it was confirmed today on Instagram that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had contracted malaria while on international duty with Gabon last month, and that he had spent a few days in the hospital receiving treatment this week.

Mikel Arteta told Arsenal.com, “We just spoke with him. He’s at home, he’s fine, he’s completely fine at the moment. He had two days in hospital to get the right treatment but he’s feeling good now. We’ll see how he recovers. I think he’ll need a few days to recover from that. He wants to be back as soon as possible, that’s what he said to me.”

The Gunners have a short turnaround to prepare for Fulham at home on Sunday. Another 3 points would be terrific!

COYG!

Cheers.
