Arsenal are bearing down the homestretch of this season’s Premier League schedule. Following the international break, the Gunners will have just nine league games left.
If they could run the table, the equation would look like this: 9 wins = 27 points = 69 total PL season points.
Is that possible, probably not, but let’s look at the fixture list for those nine remaining league games and take a guess at there outcomes.
4/3 – Liverpool – Jurgen Klopp and his team are struggling for a place in next season’s European competitions. Prediction: Draw
4/11 – @ Sheffield United – This club is done and dusted, but the Gunners can not take them for granted. Prediction: Arsenal win
4/17 – Fulham – The team from Craven Cottage will be fighting to stay in the Premier League. This will be another match Arsenal can not look beyond. Prediction: Arsenal win
4/24 – Everton – For some reason Everton always looks like a black mark on the Arsenal season. Prediction: Arsenal defeat
5/1 – @ Newcastle United – Another bottom feeder that will be trying to stay afloat. The Gunners will rebound after Everton. Prediction: Arsenal win
5/8 – West Brom Albion – WBA will be playing for fun, but Arsenal will be playing for points. Prediction: Arsenal win
5/12 – @ Chelsea – Can Mikel Arteta pull-off a double against Chelsea this season? Probably not. Prediction: Arsenal defeat
5/15 – @ Crystal Palace – The Eagles are a pesky lot, and play the Gunners tough on their pitch. Prediction: Draw
5/23 – Brighton and Hove – This could be a massive game for both clubs. One possibly going down, and one possibly trying to find a European spot. Prediction: Arsenal win
So, at the end of the season, I have the Gunners picking up 20 out of a possible 29 points. That would give our club a season total of 62. Is that good enough to get to the Europa League next season, or will the Gunners just have to win the Europa League to get into next season’s Champions League?
Obviously, we all prefer the Champions League, but we’ll have to wait until May 23rd to find out for sure!
Cheers.

I think games against Everton, Liverpool and Palace are winnable. Mentality need to change. I think AM is conservative and hates challenging expectations. I am afraid he is also fixed on buying new players with little chance of our academy products. The generation of 19-20 are lost along with younger ones 17-19. Very soon we will be like Man citeh if AM gets his way. We are effed.
