Remember the 2019 Europa League Final?

The date, May 29, 2019.
The place, The Olympic Stadium in Baku, Azerbaijan.
The event, the 2019 Europa League Final, Arsenal v Chelsea.

This was a must win for Arsenal if the club was to qualify for the 2019-2020 Champions League. Chelsea had already earned their spot, however, the Gunners had finished 5th in the Premier League, so Europa League was their last chance to join the continent’s biggest football competition.

Arsenal’s starting XI that day included…
Petr Cech, Sokratis, Laurent Koscielny, Nacho Monreal, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Lucas Torreira, Granit Xhaka, Sead Kolasinac, Mesut Oil, Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

After a 0-0 first half, the flood gates opened, the Gunners’ defense cracked, and Chelsea netted four goals enroute to a 4-1 thumping of Arsenal.

Do you remember the 2019 Europa League Final?

I’m sure all Gooners do, and I’m sure the Arsenal players who played in that match remember as well.

I hope Mikel Arteta makes his squad watch that game in its entirety. Why? I think the final score should answer that question.

Saturday is Arsenal’s chance for redemption. A chance to prove our club can still win the big game. And this fellow Gooners, is the biggest game of the season!

Come On You Gunners, get it done on Saturday!

Raise the FA Cup at Wembley, and show Chelsea who are the true Kings of London!
