What does today’s signing of Pierre-Emerick Aubameytang mean to the future of the Arsenal Football Club?
IT MEANS EVERYTHING!
In the past, the club has let great players like Aubameyang run out their contracts, and then disappear into the night only to sign with another big club.
This didn’t happen today. What we witnessed is the next step in rebuilding this football club.
Arsenal belongs in the Premier League’s elite. Arsenal belongs in the Champions League. Arsenal needs to be win trophy after trophy after trophy.
Today we have seen the icing on the cake for what has thusfar been an excellent transfer window for Mikel Arteta and the AFC executives.
David Luiz, Bukayo Saka, Pablo Mari, Cedri Soares, Willian, Dani Ceballos, Gabriel, and now…our talisman, our captain…Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang! All signed this summer.
Now, can they seal the deal and and sign Houssem Aouar, Philippe Coutinho and Thomas Partey, plus a #2 keeper to back-up Bernd Leno?
It’s hard to say what part Stan Kroenke and his son have had behind the scenes to help fund these moves, but whatever has, or is, happening, let’s hope it continues.
Arsenal also has some players to move out, plus, a decision needs to be made on the future of Mesut Ozil. However, no matter what still needs tone done you have too love the way things are beginning to look in north London.
I can feel the tide shifting in our favor. Can you?
Cheers abound on this great day!
ARSENAL TIL I DIE!
