I’m not going to take up a lot of time or space to discuss Sunday’s match v Fulham, other than to say it was another major disappointment in our Premier League season.
You would think facing a team fighting to avoid relegation and playing them on our home pitch would provide the Gunners with an advantage. Wrong. In the end we earned only a draw in the match’s final seconds.
The Arsenal rollercoaster ride continues…
In the process, we lost two points, and we will probably loose Alexandre Lacazatte for the remainder of the season. If the striker can’t return this season, Sunday’s match could have been his last as an Arsenal player. Only time will tell on that.
A big thank you goes out to Eddie Nketiah who came into the match to replace the injured Laca and then nailed the last gasp goal so Arsenal would come away with at least one redeeming point.
However, there were bright spots in the game. Throughout the match, I was most impressed by Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka. They outplayed every other player on the pitch, bar none!
So, now the Gunners have until Friday to regroup before hosting Everton.
Let’s keep our fingers crossed for Lacazette, and let’s also hope Aubameyang, and maybe even Martin Odegaard are available on Friday.
