Ok, preseason is officially over! It’s time for the real fun to begin as the Gunners prepare to defend their 2025/2026 Premier League title!
But first, the FS Community Shield match at the Wales Principality Stadium in Cardiff is on tap v Manchester City.
The Gunners haven’t had a preseason with the entire team in training because the World Cup players have slowly been coming back in, however, that will be no excuse on Sunday in front of a packed Cardiff stadium crowd expecting to see Arsenal in top form.
With that said, here’s my very wild guess at Sunday’s starting XI for the Gunners…

German football journalist Florian Plettenberg reports Galatasaray has made a $51.8-million (USD) bid to Arsenal for Gabriel Martinelli
Teamtalk is reporting Arsenal will let Martin Zubimendi leave this summer if the asking price of $103.9-million (USD) for the midfielder is met.
According to Diario Sport, Arsenal is interested in signing Barcelona defender Jules Kounde. The La Liga club will allow Kounde to leave if the right offer is made.
Since the beginnnig of the 2015/2016 season, Arsenal has won the Community Shield four times.
