The Gunners found it difficult to fire a shot through the Villarreal defense on Thursday at Emirates Stadium.
The end result, a 0-0 draw, and a 1-2 aggregate defeat to Unai Emery’s squad.
As a Gooner, I am devastated, depressed, outraged and just plain sad. For the first time in 25 years, Arsenal will not compete in Europe next season.
The season is in shambles, the club is lost, the squad is a mess and the manager is in trouble.
I’ll have more tomorrow once I have a chance to mourn this loss and have a pint or two, or three.
The good news., there are only four matches left in this season.

Borussia Dortmund has been added to the Arsenal 2026/2027 pre-season schedule with the game to be played in Emirates Stadium on August 9th. This will be the 2026 Emirates Cup match.
