Sunday will be one of the more important matches the Gunners face during their run to a potential Premier League title.
Liverpool’s Anfield is never an easy place to play. Mikel Areta agrees, “You know, it’s very, very difficult, so we know that, and the opportunity is ahead of us there on Sunday to do something that we have done in the last two or three years, to win in places that the team didn’t do for many, many years.” [Courtesy of Arsenal.com]
Liverpool has not had one of their best seasons in recent memory, however, during the season they did produce a startling 7-0 thrashing over Manchester United. So they can be very dangerous, and let’s not forget Mo Salah.
Arteta will have some difficult choices to make when selecting his starting XI for Sunday. Of these four, who sits out? Saka, Jesus, Trossard or Martinelli? A tough choice indeed, but one any manager would love to have.
Also, let’s not forget Trossard had a hat-trick at Anfield earlier this season when he played for Brighton and Hove.
With that said, here’s who I predict will hit the pitch first for the Gunners at Anfield…
[4-3-3]
Trossard, Jesus, Saka
Partey, Odegaard, Xhaka
Zinchenko, Gabriel, Holding, White
Ramsdale
Predicted final score: Liverpool 1 – ARSENAL 2
