The matches are over, so let the games begin!

The Gunners needed three things to happen on Sunday in order to reach the Europa Conference League for next season. 1) win their match v Brighton and Hove, and 2) hope both Everton and Tottenham lose their matches. Well, Arsenal won and Everton lost, however, our north London neighbors also won thus sticking a knife in Arsenal’s 25 year streak of European football competitions. Not only that, the Gunners have again finished behind Hotspurs in the Premier League final table. Ouch!

As far as Sunday went, Nicolas Pepe continued his late season scoring spree netting two goals for Arsenal to help notch the win. Overall, it was a very good Arsenal performance to end a rather inconsistent season for Mikel Arteta’s side. 8th place in the Premier League is now officially ours. It’s not what we hoped for when the season started, however, this is today’s reality whether we like it or not.

So now the much talked about rebuilding campaign begins for Arteta, Edu and the rest of the Arsenal brass. What tricks do they have up their sleeves for this summer? How much cashola will Stan “The Man” Kroenke send to north London to improve our club for next season? And of course, who will come, and who will go?

In my many years following Arsenal, I can’t remember a summer transfer season that will have more impact on the future of this club than the one we are about to experience. Can you?

It will be an interesting few months ahead!

Cheers.
