The window shuts and Arteta has his squad

So, after all the drama, the back-and-forth, and all of the speculation, Julian Alvarez will not be coming to Arsenal this summer. The Atletico Madrid star has decided to stay put at Atletico Madrid, hoping for a January move to Barcelona.

Should we be disappointed, sure, why not, but at the end of the day we remain rich with strikers in Kai Havertz, Viktor Gyokeres and Mikel Merino. Plus, the squad doesn’t need a player who really has no real desire to play here.

The Gunners summer transfer window can be graded as a B+.

The new signings include Bruno Guimaraes, Illian Meslier, Christos Tzlois, Ezri Konsa and Piero Hincapi, who signed a permanent deal after his one-year loan at Arsenal.

The guys leaving were Gabriel Martinelli (Al-Hilal), Leandro Trossard (Besiktas), Fabio Vieira (Hamburger SV), Gabriel Jesus (Barcelona), Christian Norgaard (Everton), Jakub Kiwior (Porto), Karl Hein (Werder Bremen) and Reiss Nelson (Free agent).

Arsenal has sent Ethan Nwaneri on loan to Borussia Dortmund, as well as Tommy Setford to Stevenage.

The Premier League’s twenty clubs spent a league record $4.33-billion (USD) on transfers this summer.

Now, the teams are set until January, but of course there are always those last minute exceptions.

The games have begun, and now the focus will be exclusively on the pitch, and less on the front office’s wheelings and dealings.

Good job Mr. Berta.

  1. Arteta to me is a genius. Getting players who were beginning to have negative aura and disposition toward other players out of the club is the best aspect constantly noted in exceptional coaches and their crews worldwide. Lets face it, Gabriel-Martinelli was beginning to unsettle the group by constantly playing down on Arteta’s preference of Leandro-Trossard instead of him and that sort-of affected Leo’s performance and mental-state in many matches we played, so moving both individuals-on is a class-act for me. I will ALWAYS love both of them LEO and MARTI but it was definitely time they move on to greener pastures anew. As for Jakub-Kiwior, Cristian-Norgaard, Gabriel-Jesus, Fabio-Viera and goalkeeper Karl-Hein we love them but they were definitely fringe players. Ethan-Nwaneri deserves his loan move to Borussia-Dortmund, the boy has a great future in the game but he shouldn’t impede the passage to glory of our upcoming MIXER #MaxDOWMAN. For now that left-wing will be ably manned by #EberechiEZE and #TZOLIS.

  2. I think Berta and Arteta should be fired for not getting a decent striker. Where is the money you had for Vinicius and Alvarez, we are short in attack. I don’t think you would get Vinicius or Alvarez to Arsenal because you don’t want to pay the fees for big names players
