It was great to see Gabriel Jesus and Viktor Gyokeres net goals on Tuesday in Milan. Plus, with the eminent return of Kai Havertz to regular playing time, the Gunners will finally be at full strength in the center forward position. This allows Mikel Arteta the opportunity to rotate freely, while keeping the opponents having to deal with the Gunners multiple styles of strikers. This is great news, especially following last year’s depleted center forward chaos.
At the end of the day on Tuesday, Arsenal secured a place in the Champions League Round of 16. Arteta’s squad remain on top of the League Phase table with seven wins in all seven matches.
As far as the entire season goes, the Gunners have 27 wins, 5 draws and just 2 defeats in all competitions. On top of that, Arsenal has scored 72 goals to the opponents 20. The Gunners can also boost of having 18 cleans sheets.
Next up, EPL foe Manchester United. The Red Devils are currently looking for a new manger, but had an impressive 2-0 clean sheet win over Manchester City last Saturday. Man U are currently 5th on the league table, 15 points behind Arsenal, but just one point out of fourth place.
The overall versatility of this year’s Arsenal squad has proven to be the real backbone of the club’s 2-25/2026 success. Arteta can rotate freely and trying different combinations while still relying on a defense that is the talk of European football.
So, after 34 matches, Arsenal leads the Premier League and the Champions League, are in the Carabao Cup semifinals with a 3-2 aggregate lead over Chelsea, and have moved on to the 5th round of the FA Cup.
But, in order to realize multiple trophies this season, Arteta needs to keep winning. There can be no spells of draws or losses. The squad must remain healthy, and wins against teams they should easily beat need not be overlooked.
Every match and every point is critical to achieving the glory this club so dearly deserves.
This is the year of the Gunner!
COYG!
Cheers.
