The Gunners hope to keep their momentum headed in a positive direction when they travel to Turf Moor to face Burnley on Saturday.
Under Sean Dyche, the Clarets have had a difficult year which currently finds them in the Premier League table’s 16th spot, with just 28 points. After 26 matches, their PL record is 7 wins, 7 draw and 12 defeats.
Burnley is edging closer to a relegation battle with Fulham, as the westside London club trails Burnley by only 5 points.
Mikel Arteta told Arsenal.com what to expect from Burnley on match day, “It’s a really tough match, I think it’s remarkable what the club, Sean and the coaching staff have done in recent years with the resources that they have, the style of play they have implemented and how well they execute it and how efficient they are. It is always really tough to play against them, at home it was a tricky game because we played with 10 men and we ended up losing on a set piece, which is a big part of the game, so hopefully we can have a very different result.”
Since Burnley returned to the Premier League in the 2016/2017 season, Arsenal have had the upper hand posting an 8-1-1 record. However, earlier this season on December 13th, Burnley defeated the Gunners 1-0 in the Emirates Stadium.
This is not a match Arteta and his squad can overlook by any means.
With that said, here’s who I think Arteta will start on Saturday:
[4-2-1-3]
Aubameyang, Lacazaette, Saka
Odegarrd
Xhaka, Parten
Tierney, Gabriel, Luiz, Bellerin
Leno
Predicted final score:
Burnley 0 – ARSENAL 3
